Those hibiscus flowers are from our yard :).
This monsoon it really hasn’t rained much compared to last year, and so it’s been super hot and humid. We will be shifting soon, too. It’s been chaotic, but in between all of this, I’ve still been enjoying. I’ve got interest in some new things, and so those have kept me occupied. Here are 6 cool things I’ve been doing this monsoon!
# 1 : Nail Art
Nail art is not just fashion, it’s a art in itself. And the best part is, it teaches you how to work in small places – you have to work really in detail. Just as big art is difficult, I feel small art is even more difficult. If you’re like me, you like to do nail art with your non-dominant too, doing that makes you more comfortable with your non-dominant hand. It teaches you how to work with it, too. I’m a right-handed, and I always struggle putting nail polish with my left hand – but I’m better at it now – nail art has taught me that. I’ve suddenly acquired an interest in nail art. And recently, I’m practically making a new design every day.
Here’s a channel you must check out. She does absolutely amazing nail art! I watch her videos all the time. She shares lots of tips (videos) too. You’ve gotta check it – even if you aren’t a nail art lover! A lot of my nail art is inspired by her.
# 2 : Dreaming About My New House
We’ll be shifting to a new house in October! I can’t stop dreaming about my new furniture, furnishings, and mainly – my new art room, too! I’m so excited. I always imagine myself in my new art room, and..and..and… Look out! In probably 2 more months (or less) I’ll be doing a tour of my new art room! Yay!
# 3 : Swimming
This is one thing I’ve been doing the most (other than nail art). That’s mostly because…I just learned swimming!
It’s just so fun, not having to just roam around in the pool and go underwater – that’s it. If you know swimming, you can do so much stuff! And the awesome thing is, I learnt it by myself – I was just going around in the pool, when I suddenly lifted my legs up, and started paddling through the water. It’s really satisfying when you do something by yourself, right? And the good thing is, in my new house (in a complex) they’ll be a pool too. So I won’t lose my touch of swimming! I know doggie paddle, froggie stroke, and normal stroke ;D
# 4 : Selling My Handmade Cards On FB!
I’ve made a ton of cards, and I always wanted to sell. The money part is satisfying but the best thing is your art being chosen by someone to put it up in their home. And, their joyful feedback. So, recently, I started selling cards on FB! I haven’t yet started my shop or anything, Mamma’s made a album and started adding my art photos in it. Lets see how this continues, and maybe in the future I’ll make a shop! They’ve been selling really well, and many people have been buying them. I’ve also been asked for custom orders! Woohoo! Wanna buy, too? Click here to go straight to my art album on FB 🙂 Maybe I could also sell them on my blog! How about that? You could comment if you think this is a nice idea. Comment below if you’d like that. I’d love to know 🙂
# 5 : Watercolor Art
I know I’ve said this a thousand times, but I just love watercolor. There’s something about it that makes it move around so easily, blend together more than any other form of painting. It’s divine, you get lost with the movement and softness of the colors..
I’ve been starting this series ( to sell ) called, ‘Sun Sign Cards’. Every card will have a painting of the sun sign on the left, like for virgo, I’ll draw a girl, princess, mermaid – But the goal is not to get exactly what the sign’s picture is – I add my own touch, and my own imagination in it. Think of something different. Like on Virgo, don’t think of that same exact mermaid. On Libra, don’t think of that exact same weighing-scale. I make something different, and unique. On the other side of the card will be handwritten. Mamma helps me with putting the trades, in a poetic, story like manner.
And, hey – I’m done with the virgo card! (As that’s the closest). Will be putting it up on FB soon. Don

# 6: Chatting With Friends!
I’ve recently been loving this app called ‘LINE’. It’s just awesome! It’s super cute too. I’ve invited my friends over, and during rainy days or hot afternoons, I chat with my friends a bit. It has such cool icons, stickers, themes.. Just what I like! I can just explore on it all day.
Hope you do some of these fun things, too! 🙂
