“This is a light-board that I made for Christmas, it hangs pictures etc.”
“That’s so cuute!”
“Did you make this? So adorable!!
“I saw the bowl you made, it’s so sweet.”
I know I repeated the words too much, but it’s the truth. Sweet. Cute. Adorable. Most adults use the same words every now and then. You’re looking so cute, this art is so sweet, your hair is adorable. I know it’s easy for them – just say that one mushy-mushy word and no more has to be said. That one word has plenty of “sweety-ness” already in it.
We all know those moments when somebody likes our picture, comments something thoughtful on our posts; It’s just that feeling that someone liked what you did. Someone appreciated and even left a comment on there, spending their time writing it. How much ever we try to hide it – we can feel our heart giving a little ‘bling’ whenever we see someone drop a bunch of likes, don’t we?
In this case – it’s someone purchasing my artwork (Shop link is below). Especially if that person is unknown, seeing my phone whizzing a little with a sudden vibration of a new order coming in with a “cash register” ringtone set.
It was really quite in the car. We talked in whispers, as Sufi slept.
We were out for some work. Sufi, by the time had slept in the car.” I think lets wait in the car and let Sufi sleep for a bit” my mom said in whispers. “She was so tired”. Me and Papa nodded.
Looking at Sufi for a while, we all started to talk about her. “She’s looking so adorable” i said. “I know, she’s really sound asleep” my mamma replied. After a while, we just couldn’t resist kissing her. “Mamma, she’s looking soooo cuuute!”
It was 10:00 in the night. Mamma was browsing through some pictures to write her blog post on.
“Don’t know what to write” she said worriedly. She pressed the arrow on her mac laptop, when I saw this picture(above). Omigosh! I whisper-shouted. I was so so so delighted somehow, by looking at this photo, that i couldn’t stop looking. Press back! I want to see that pic! I yelled. Finally she had to shoo me off.
Say, you went on a holiday. You booked a hotel, and planned to spend your time at a beautiful place. If your bed was hard in the hotel, or there wasn’t enough hot water to supply you, would you hang your face all the time, and think that your trip was ruined, just because your bed was hard, and there wasn’t hot water?
I’ve been fond of nail polish since I was really small. And now too, i love it – i’ve got lots of them. I can’t stop admiring the colors shining on my nails—I just can’t get my eyes of them. Not only applying nail polish to myself, i just LOVE applying nail polish to others. I’ve been asking mamma if i could put nail polish on her nails, and i got to put it. I was so delighted. She also loved the color on her nails. At top it’s a picture of me putting nail polish to mamma.
Infact, by talking about nail polish, mamma also got reminded of a thing me and her saw on internet. It’s called water rangoli nail paint. It’s really interesting. Recently, I got a nail polish and mamma was immediately reminded of this idea. Here are the links. It seems pretty fun! I’ll try it soon and share it with you.
My dreams have come true. Since my several blog posts about Sufiana,(my small sister), i’ve been writing about how much I dreamed about Sufiana, walk. But it isn’t a dream anymore! Do you know what i mean? Well, read on!
Waves? Water? Puddles? Splash? All the things are there – in Goa!
It was 3 days before. And a weekend, Papa was free. Where did we decided to spend the day? The beach of course! Which beach? The Vaadi beach!
We decided to have our lunch and dinner on that shack facing the sea. We went for walks in the water, collecting shells, splashing in the water. Of-course, didn’t I tell you – Sufi loves water so much , she couldn’t help going into the water!
Oh my! It feels so different to remember that in my earlier posts, i wrote about how many “months”old Sufi is. And now, i have written how many “years” she is!
Sufiana turned 1 year old on November 2.
It’s even hard to believe “one year old”. And because it was her first Birthday, we of-course wanted to make it very special. So, the first half of the day, we were in Club Mahindra – a beautiful resort with lush greenery. But, more than anything else, we chose to spend some time there because it has two huge swimming pools and a splash pool. Sufiana loves water and has enjoyed being in the pool before (we call her water baby)
Sufiana (my sister) continues to delight me and dazzle me every day. She’s the joy and wonder of my life. These days, she stands on her own for a longish stretch compared to couple of months back. She holds on to a support and stands for many seconds – with her hands outstretched in the air! As she realizes she is standing without any support, she gets delighted – her eyes sparkling like diamonds and the happiness reflecting in those big, innocent eyes – as if to say, “Look, look! Pari, Mamma! I am standing on my own. I’m having so much fun!”
